Tattoo aftercare
Keep the plastic on to the next morning, remove and wash the tattoo thoroughly clean with mild soap and water.
Lubricate the tattoo after wash, you may lubricate several times daily, with a very thin layer of ointment or oily lotion without perfume.
Examples of creams that are suitable for healing of the tattoo are:
Brulidine, Helosan and Miniderm.
Avoid the sun, long baths (you can shower!) and sauna while the tattoo heals.
After a couple of days, the tattoo will flake a bit, it's because the skin is growing and forms a new layer of skin.
If it crusts - do not pick it! If the wound starts to bleed again due to scratching you risk bleeding out the color.
Healing period varies from person to person, ranging from 3 days to 3 weeks is normal.
A tattoo with massive coloring usually takes longer to heal than one with less color/shading.
